Abstract
Introduction: In Sweden there are approximately 40 000 cases of MI a year. There has been a recent increase of the incidence of MI in women; however the prevalence is still higher in men. Quality of life is affected by physical and psychological factors. There has been little research done on how women experience their quality of life post MI. Objective: The objective of this literature review was to investigate the prognosis and quality of life after MI with focus on women.
