The third part elaborates on the research method of conducting two focus groups with international students, composed with EU and non-EU citizens who discuss several topics and share their experiences where the legal status of a person matters. Additionally, the perspective of staff members from Lund University is included. The fourth part analyses and measures the empirical data which shows that there is a positively ‘added value’ for EU citizens in comparison to non-EU citizens with special regard to entering Sweden, visa issues, general administrative procedures, working formalities related to visa and a bit greater freedom of how one finances her or his studies.
