- The result of this research is, that the Kennedy myth lived in a symbiotic relationship with the political mission of John F Kennedy during his time in the White House. The myth was as present – as the real politics of Kennedy – during his presidency. The Kennedy myth was a
tool for John Kennedy to reach the White House. This myth was natural in a country as America, where the American Dream is fundamental for its self-perception. It is of no importance if the myth is historical false or true. The myth has another role. The role of the myth is to strengthen the identity of the group and the nation. The myth of Kennedy strengthened the Kenndy family as well as the American nation. In the same way that those Americans – who are succesful in...
