- The purpose of this essay is to analyze how the sexual violence against women is being reported. Sexual violence against women is something that has been up for debate a long time. People and organizations all over the world have for a long time reported how women are being raped and how that is affecting them. The two reports in this essay from Human rights Watch shows how the retelling about the sexual violence is not only about that, but so much more. - The purpose of this essay is to analyze how the sexual violence against women is being reported. Sexual violence against women is something that has been up for debate a long time. By doing a critical discourse analysis in the essay, I’m going to analyze how the reports of the sexual violence against women are not always just about the violence. Intersectionality is present in the reports about the sexual violence against women in Sierra Leone and Somalia, which tributes to feminize the violence and create more victims than it really is. This puts the Human Rights Organizations in a dilemma, while they work to protect people’s Human Rights they are also creating stereotypes by constantly connecting the sexual violence with something.
