In downplaying the risk some of the main strategies were to compare with other drugs, relating to positive cannabis experiences and to joke about the risks. Regarding paying attention the forum members had a more negative attitude towards cannabis use and discussed the harmful effects in a more serious way. In controlling the risk issues such as control of quantity and frequency of use and the importance of self-control were identified. Finally, there were forum members who disregarded the risks by referring to the idea of human free will. (Less)
