Sustainability vs. Media Production - A Status Quo Analysis

Abstract
This thesis paper takes a closer look at the degree to which sustainability and measures thereof are already existent within the media industry, and what development there has been up to now. For this status quo analysis, both the worldwide markets, like the U.S. and several European, as well as a closer look onto the German media market have been taken into account.
In addition, a description of different measures to achieve sustainable media production is included. A Best Practice list can be found in the appendix. Moreover, individual interviews with Berlin local producers and journalists in addition to information resulting from different festival discussion panels are used to take a closer look at the current situation regarding...
