- Abstract
- Information handling in a highly innovative, rapidly growing and information sensitive industry like mobile industry is a complex problem. Although much of the research has been done in the area of risk management, however information leakage aspect is left unexplored. This study can be seen as a contribution to this area. I studied the concept of information leakage in the context of awareness, identification and mitigation. Interviews were used as a qualitative research methodology, interrogating respondents with varied roles from mobile industry to understand sources of information leak and ways to handle them as a focus area.
The findings suggest that prototype usage is one of the biggest threats for information leakage in mobile... I studied the concept of information leakage in the context of awareness, identification and mitigation. Interviews were used as a qualitative research methodology, interrogating respondents with varied roles from mobile industry to understand sources of information leak and ways to handle them as a focus area.
The findings suggest that prototype usage is one of the biggest threats for information leakage in mobile industry. Apart from this there exist various minor and major factors that cause information to leak outside organization. Empirical findings suggest that there is no certain ways to handle information leak due to these sources. However security awareness forms the basis of information leakage management system and is fundamental to an organizations productivity and performance in highly critical, high revenue market of mobile industry.
