- In this master thesis the correlation between heart rate variability and respiration is analysed in order to examine the possibility of finding differences between individuals under different levels of work related stress. A total number of 24 individuals, divided into groups under low stress, high stress and those formerly exhausted, had their heart rates and respirations recorded. Cross-spectral analysis of respiration and heart rate variability in the time-frequency domain was used to extract information of how the two signals correlate to each other.
