Metallfraktion som adsorptionsfilter för svavelväte - en undersökning av förmågan att binda sulfid hos utsorterat metallavfall från Sysavs förbränningsanläggning

- Abstract
- Sysav incinerates more than half a million ton of waste every year. A metallic fraction is filtered out from the material that is left after the incineration. This metallic fraction is then divided into one part containing larger objects and one part containing smaller objects. The latter fraction is hard to sell and gives rise to problems with dust at the site of storage. Since the fraction most of all consists of rust, i.e. different iron(hydr)oxides, there is a possibility to use it as an adsorption filter for hydrogen sulfide removal. The fraction could then be used as a cover layer at a landfill. The purpose of this work is to examine if the metal fraction could be used for this purpose. The method used is a literature search and a... (More)

The fraction could then be used as a cover layer at a landfill. The purpose of this work is to examine if the metal fraction could be used for this purpose. The method used is a literature search and a column study. The possibility to use the material as a cover layer at a landfill is discussed, together with the question if the material could be seen as a resource instead of a problem. (Less)
