The Chinese economy in central and western regions is not as developed as eastern coast. There is a big discrepancy between various regions in economic development. The disparities of Chinese regional economy have become the main problem, since it affects China’s continued economic prosperity, social stability, national unity and it’s attracted by world attentions. The Chinese economy in central and western regions is not as developed as eastern coast. There is a big discrepancy between various regions in economic development. The disparities of Chinese regional economy have become the main problem, since it affects China’s continued economic prosperity, social stability, national unity and it’s attracted by world attentions. This study intends to analysis the disparities between central, eastern and western regional economic development based on institutional factors. In this paper, apply the basic analytical methods of the new institutional economics method to the study. And further using the regional comparative institutional analysis theoretically explores the institutional factors that lead to regional economic development disparities. By using proxy indicators of the institution variables, analyze the relationship between institution and regional economic by empirical econometric. Based upon the results, conclusions are drawn and future potentials are analyzed. (Less)
