- Abstract
- Afghanistan is the one country in the world with the most oppression against women. Meanwhile, Sweden, which is one of Afghanistan's many aid-givers, is one of the countrys in the world with most equality between men and women. Equality and women's rights are thereby a priority in Sweden international development strategies, as well is the Swedish strategy for their developing-aid in Afghanistan. Spivak and other postcolonial theorists argue that democracy, human rights and gender equality is a Western concept that you have to stay critical to.
