We have applied a discourse analytic perspective in this paper, both in theory and in methodology. Our selection of decisions has been limited and thus we cannot draw any general conclusions to the subject matter. We have however noted that the Migration Court has had difficulties filling the concept of the best interest of the child with true content, especially in the decisions resulting in a rejection.
