Depression and physical inactivity is a major health problem; it can cause death and various diseases. It also causes alienation when that the depressed cannot be bothered to participate in a social community. This exclusion is quite common among the deaf and the onset of depression often has a basis in just that. Research suggests that physical activity and social interaction can probably cure / relieve depression. This essay highlights the depression and social community effects on depressed deaf and how professionals in social work can Apple exercise and social interaction in their work. I used a qualitative study with interviews of both professionals in the sign language social work, physicians at Psychiatry outpatient clinic and a sign language personal trainer. As theories presented cognitive theory and salutogenic theory in parallel with the concept of sense of coherence (SOC).
