- Title: Speaking of intonation, a qualitative interview study concerning choirmasters' views on intonation instructions and how they should be given.
This study examines choirmasters' views on how intonation work should be conducted. It is a qualitative interview study with four choir directors who work in Skåne, Sweden. The choir directors predominantly work in the classical field of music. The results indicate that the choir directors in the study believe that intonation in choir is strongly connected with the
pronounciation of the vowels. The study also shows that choir directors use different methods when talking about, and working with intonation. Körledarna arbetar huvudsakligen med klassisk musik. Resultaten pekar på att körledarna i studien menar att intonation i kör är starkt förknippat med behandling av vokalfärg. Studien visar också på att körledarna använder olika metoder för att prata om, och arbeta med intonation.
