The homogenous sample consisted of six participants employed at a staffing and recruitment company in southern Sweden. Semi-structured interviews were held following an interview schedule and the transcribed interview data was analysed using interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA). The outcome of the analysis was five main themes: “Instrument to cope with responsibility and expectations”, “Flexibility”, “Curbing availability”, “Cause for unhealthy mental job presence” and “Unintentional behaviour”. These themes with constituent sub-themes are discussed in relation to prior theories and research. The themes are interpreted as an answer to the research question with both negative and positive aspects. Each theme is considered a possible hypothesis för future research. Methodological suggestions for future research are also provided. (Less)
