- Abstract
- As globalization advances, so does international trading. This Bachelor’s thesis’ purpose is to analyze in what way corporations conform to human rights by using suppliers in a globalized environment and what impact globalization has on corporation’s actions in accordance with human rights. By qualitatively analyzing documents and by conducting an argumentation analysis, the methodological foundation was given to break down information on a theoretical foundation. The theorists used are sociologists Zygmunt Bauman and Robert K. Merton. This Bachelor’s thesis’ purpose is to analyze in what way corporations conform to human rights by using suppliers in a globalized environment and what impact globalization has on corporation’s actions in accordance with human rights. Globalization makes it possible for corporations to place the responsibility for compliance with human rights on the states where their suppliers are located in. Because of a consumeristic climate in the world, multinational corporations can get away with human rights violations due to a lack of societal interest. (Less)
