The study thus focuses on the tension between two strands of Serbian identity—one based on a 1990s Milosevic’s political discourse and another on supranational identification with "EU” structures. Also, by looking at the political changes in Serbia after 2000, this thesis aims to investigate how national identity is being re-structured in relation to foreign policy decisions. (Less)
