Theoretically supported by Max Webers social and organizational theories the material was analysed and discussed, bringing forward the following conclusion: the treatment is necessary for the purposes of kriminalvården’s assignment, it is though obvious that the organization is divided regarding their application. The programmes are difficult to evaluate, making it hard knowing whether they generate the requested effect or not. Furthermore, in making kriminalvården’s work more efficient further qualitative research is required. (Less)
