Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
Abstract
More people in Sweden suffer from type-2 diabetes and they have a right to understand how the disease works and how it is treated. The goal of diabetes care is to teach the patients how to handle as much as possible themselves. District nurses have therefore an important role to inform and motivate patients with type-2 diabetes to prevent complications. The aim of the study was to investigate how the patient experiences the conversation with the district nurse. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven patients from two health centers in Skåne and the material was analyzed by qualitative content analysis.
