Abstract
An efficient maintenance process is one of the cornerstones in our lean program (SWOP) and has a great impact on our operational performance globally. Condition based maintenance is about maintaining the correct equipment at the right time. CBM is based on using real-time data to prioritize and optimize maintenance resources. The main point is that the condition of the equipment is assessed during operation to determine whether it is in need of maintenance or not. If so, at what time should the maintenance actions be executed to avoid a breakdown or a malfunction? The frequency for CBM can thus be dynamic. To really utilize CBM in the most efficient way is to use machine integrated systems with sensors, data collection, monitoring,... (More)
