- Crimes and violations are constantly committed against human rights all over the

conflicts: Rwanda, Kosovo & Syria. The study is a comparative study, since it is
examines three different humanitarian conflicts. A perspective of group decision
foreign policy making has been applied to the UN Security Council to understand
the composition of the council. “Human secuirity”, postcolonialism and realism
are theories that have been applied and examine their point of views of
humanitarian intervention and national security.
The conclusion I have come to is that there has to be a clear position for the
international society and the UN security council, for the council to work better
together and to come to unanimously decisions. Unfortunately the security council
has been paralyzed in all three conflicts, and therefore no humanitarian
intervention has been made. A better cooperation among the member states will
improve the decision making process when debating humanitarian interventions. (Less)
