Abstract
What happens when production technologies such as 3d printing become available to consumers? And how will it affect the role of the designer? To answer these questions we had to look at the 3d printing from a larger perspective and consider the movements behind it. The aim of our bachelor project was to create a platform where designers and end-users can collaborate in the creation of their own products thus utilizing peoples creativity and drive.

By using recycled materials as a base for local production and opening up design processes and production methods, such as 3d printing, we can make personal and unique products for and with the end user.
