- Abstract
- The paper looks at books that have been adapted from games to see how a relationship between these two medias have changed how the book are portrayed on their cover. To investigate how the covers have been portrayed it looks at several books that have been adapted from a game. The covers are then analyzed based on, how much they limit themselves to their targeted audience, how strong position they give to the authors name, and the genus perspective they portray on their covers. This is done to illustrate how the covers of the book are portrayed to reflect how strongly tied they are to the franchise around the game and how much more attention the franchise gets in contrast to the authors name and the publishers.
