The thesis will study different governmental investigations to identify the image of the new threats. This alongside with the theory of securitization, to examine the speech act that’s being used, and the different key points that are referenced to. In doing this, the thesis aims to test if the theory of securitization is a valid theoretical tool to understand the Swedish motivation of new threats. The result is that securitization is a valid theory to come to an understanding why Sweden rejects old views on neutrality and join forces with different organizations. (Less)
