- Abstract
- This study implicates research on outdoor pedagogies and a solution to support and extend pre-schools visits in nature environments. Pedagogies where daily activities take place in nature environments is growing among Swedish schools and pre-schools. Research about child development shows that free play outside has a number of positive effects on children’s health and well-being. Nature has proven to be a perfect playground, where the games can take place over varied terrain, and be played both in small and big scale. Unfortunately not every pre-school has a big yard or close to nature. But with trike bicycles or buses, a growing number of day nurseries are taking their children out for nature experiences.
