- Abstract
- This paper attempts to explain the construction of a newly developed genre that researchers believe is an epidemic on the digital horizon called revenge porn. The study examines patterns of language and hatred related to revenge porn as well as women as victims. The study examine how their life’s has been affected as a di-rect result of publications of photographs or videos of sexual nature. Our theoreti-cal base is within gender studies and its theory. The result of this study illustrate the cyber-bullying manifests itself trough comments on the Internet of a graphic nature. The study also reveals that lives of female victims have drastically changed. They are labeled as sluts and held responsible instead of seen as a victim of molestation and sexual crime. This is a qualitative case study based on investigations that uses both nethnography and text analysis to interpret revenge porn as a genre. (Less)

- Denna studie ämnar förklara konstruktionen av en ny genre som forskare menar är en epidemi på den digitala horisonten som kallas hämndporr. Studien syftar till att undersöka vilken typ av språk och argument som används i samband med hämnd-porr samt vilka typer av hat detta ger uttryck för. Studien kommer även beröra kvinnor som offer och hur deras liv har påverkats till följd av publicering av bilder och videos av sexuell karaktär. Vår teorietiska utgångspunkt ligger inom genus-forskning och dess teori. Resultatet av studien visar att näthat tar sig uttryck ge-nom kommentarer på internet som är av grov karaktär. De blir stämplade som slampor och skuldbe-läggs istället för att ses som offer för ett ofredande och sexualbrott. Studien är kvalitativ och baseras på insamlingsmetod där både netnografi och textanalys är intressanta för att kartlägga hämndporr som genre. (Less)
