The aim of this essay is to examine how the new legislation is applied in practice when it
comes to children placed in foster homes

The aim of this essay is to examine how the new legislation is applied in practice when it
comes to children placed in foster homes

the children are prioritized and thus an improvement for children placed in foster ho
mes. The
social workers’ opinion was that by having your own social worker it gives the children better
security, but actually it is all about having a good relation and continuity in contact with the
children. At the same time they described difficulties
in their role. These difficulties were
about maintaining a comprehensive view and cooperation between the adults who were
jointly responsible for the children. Several of the social workers also experienced an
increased workload due to this organizational
