Abstract
The aim of this qualitative study is to investigate of why Swedish social workers migrates from public employments to outsourced private employers in the same environment. We also looked into how the outsourced social workers perceives their new employment and how they plan their future carrier.

Our findings shows us some main theme of social workers being pushed away from bad working environments, such as high workload, poor management, slow organization and high rate of conflicts combined with low salaries. At the same time social workers are pulled by better conditions such as higher salaries, general benefits and flexibility by their new private companies.
