Abstract
This is a presentation of automatic control theory in combination with an introduction to the digital controller Asea Novatune. The work is done as part of a master degree in science at Lund Institute of Technology, Department of Automatic Control, with Asea Innovation, Västerås, as sponsoring organization. The presentation is to be used within Asea Innovation for education. <br><br> The presentation has the form of a series of experimental tasks, where each task begins with the corresponding theory. This is a presentation of automatic control theory in combination with an introduction to the digital controller Asea Novatune. The second half (lab 9-12) deals with more complex physical processes and control systems and leads to the objective of the presentation, adaptive control theory, which is the most obvious advantage of the commercial digital controller Asea Novatune.
