Abstract
This master thesis develops and tests models for simulation of district heating networks. Starting with an example of a thermodynamical system, methods were developed to describe the system with modules. Three elementary modules have been defined: R-, E- and C-module. (R=resistance, E=energy transport element, C=capacitor) More complicated components, such as boilers and heat exchangers, can be viewed as composed of several elementary modules. Any thermodynamical system can be built up only by the elementary modules.
