The privatization of the society has opened up opportunities for the citizens to have their security needs met by other operators. The purpose of this study is to highlight and create awareness of the market for private security. This paper is based on a case study of Säkert Företag Sverige AB. This company is a small private security company that offers different types of security services. Data is collected through an accurate inspection of the company’s customer base. The results of the data have been analyzed by using the theory of risk society and the concept of access to justice. The conclusion of the study shows that the society has become more risk conscious, which has led to a greater demand for security and safety, unfortunately the police has not got sufficient resources to help everyone. The 2016’s access to justice is not about an individual’s financial problems to get justice, but the problem is that the justice system does not have access to the resources needed to maintain justice in society.
