Discussion and conclusion: PPD is a significant health issue. It is vital to increase nurses’ knowledge about interventions for strengthening family relations in all parts of the health care-system, as treatment of PPD alone is insufficient in improving the parent-infant attachment. In this study only articles describing interventions directed towards mothers and babies were found. There is a lack of studies concerning the needs of the entire family. (Less)
