- This qualitative study seeks to highlight the contributing factors of social exclusion of asylum
seekers and refugees in Glasgow. Deriving from an internship at the organisation Scottish
Refugee Council in Glasgow, this study is based on primary data that has been gathered from
a community conference with asylum seekers and refugees, as well as from interviews with
staff from the organisation. Its purpose is to give an insight in the issues of social exclusion
related to one particular organisation, and to provide insights for future research on the topic of
social exclusion of asylum seekers and refugees in other parts of the UK and other countries.
