Extern varvtalsmätning på en permanentmagnetiserad likströmsmotor

- Abstract
- This bachelor thesis was performed at BorgWarner AB in Landskrona. The
assignment was to investigate different methods for external measurement of a
permanent magnetized DC motor speed in revolutions per minute when you
have no access to the rotor. The task was to examine different measurement
methods, to produce a finished circuit that converts the signal frequency to
rpm and build a complete tool.
A couple of different measurement methods were tested to draw conclusions
for any of the methods that were preferred. Most of the work was to develop
the circuit that gave a good enough signal to enter in the F/V-converter. This
circuit was then mounted in a hand tool with the F/V-converters output
coupled to a display.

The finished tool came to consist of a holder of the pick-up inductor and the
hand tool with a display representing the motor rpm. The hand tool would also
include two oscilloscope outputs for analog and digital signal which was
integrated and an input for a power supply. (Less)
