- This project was performed in collaboration with CellaVision, a company that provides digital solutions for medical microscopy in hematology. A more detailed, high fidelity prototype, was then created and further tested. A final concept was developed as a suggestion of improvement. After performing quantitative tests with the high fidelity prototype, the result displayed an improvement of the usability of the user interface, showing a System Usability Scale value of 84.1 for the new user interface versus a value of 33.3 for the old user interface. From the result it was concluded that user centered design can result in a product with higher usability compared to a product developed without the user in focus. A user-centered design process contributes to a result with a solid base, matching the user goals and requirements. This project will hopefully motivate future design processes to work in close collaboration with the end users. (Less)
