This study is important as it asks to investigate a solution on how to prevent

understand women’s roles in conflict and further expanding women’s roles
beyond peaceful nurturing mothers. The theoretical framework will be drawn
from liberal feminist theory since it aligns with resolution 1325 and policies of the
UN. The analysis will dissect UN’s perception of female peacekeepers as well as
examining in what way women have the power to influence or change the
structure of an international organization. The study concludes that adding more
female peacekeepers will not solve the problem. Women are not peaceful
creatures that can spellbind male peacekeepers into not engaging in abuse. The
UN’s most shameful weakness seems to be more of an issue with the UN than an
issue regarding the lack of women. (Less)
