The result of the study showed that home care services in Malmö has an important role to draw attention to domestic violence among elders and that the home care services can act as a link between the individual user and society's relief efforts. The informants depicted that a dividing line exists between their professional workspace and the clients’ private sphere which limits their ability to detect the presence of violence. Moreover, the informants also lack clear procedures and guidelines for handling domestic violence among their clients. (Less)
