Abstract
The aim of this study has been to discuss how couples that have shared the division of parental leave equal discuss parental leave and gender equality in a Swedish context. It has been done through caring out interviews with five couples that has shared the parental leave equal. The motives behind an equal division of parental leave is motivated around ideas of gender equality and awareness of more traditional ideal of parenting and gender equality and with an intention to change these ideal.
