Abstract
This study discusses the question of the impact of physical activity on stress and anxiety, in terms of which type of sport is performed. With the bases of previous research which states that social cohesion, mindfulness, and physical activity are important factors for reducing stress and anxiety, a hypothesis was invented, stating that different types of activities affect the individual’s well-being, in relation to the level of performed physical activity. The population of this study was not clinical, which was in line with the purpose of this study. The data was acquired through a survey conducted on social media, and was analyzed using multivariate analyzes of variance in SPSS. The results showed that no significant differences were... (More)

The data was acquired through a survey conducted on social media, and was analyzed using multivariate analyzes of variance in SPSS. The results showed that no significant differences were found among the different types of activities performed. This was assumed to be partly due to vague effects of the independent variables, and partly to flaws in the conduct of this study. Further research would be necessary to fully exclude other unverified variables in this study, such as level of mindfulness and traits of character. (Less)
Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
