- Abstract
- The aim of this qualitative study was to investigate how social workers at LARO-clinics experience their role at the clinic, as well as investigate how their roles are shaped in interaction with cohort, patients and the organization. Another important result was how the social worker’s role, and what they are expected to do, are affected by the patients and their different needs. At last, a major theme has been how the social worker is alone in his or her profession as a social worker in a context of medicine. The profession of the social worker differs from the rest of the staff, which creates tensions and a struggle for power between the different professions. (Less)
