With a qualitative design using semi-structured interviews with six social service workers, the material was analyzed within the theoretical framework of emotional labour. The results show that social service workers perform emotional labour and that it gets affected by their documentation in two different ways. Documentation also seems to be part of a “speed up” which affects their emotional labour negatively. (Less)
