Studies from around the world show that in some countries it is a problem taken seriously, including one country having a governmental treatment plan to address the issue. There is a considerable difference between countries in this regard. In Sweden the treatment is rather consistent throughout the country, although there is no diagnosis here for the addiction. The conclusion based on this study is that there are both positive and negative effects of a diagnosis regarding gaming addiction for all layers of society. (Less)
