Abstract
This study focuses on the demand side of prostitution and sex-trafficking. The aim is to examine how young men construct the purchase of sex in the male peer group. There is also male peer groups that construct the purchase of sex as a “big no no” and where buying sex is seen as something dirty. In these groups the issue of sex trafficking is addressed and there is a tendency to construct women who sells sex as victims, which prevents the purchase of sex to be constructed as something desirable. In addition to this we can conclude that young Swedish men are more likely to buy sex when they are visiting a country where there is a more liberal approach to purchasing sex. (Less)
