JOINTS LAB - furniture design depending on the CNC technology

- Abstract
- The JOINTS LAB. is my master's graduation project in Lund
University after two-year study here.
I always got in touch with different types of wood and the
wooden workshop in the school during these two years
in Lund. When considering what I should make for my
graduation design project after looking back what I have done
and achieved during these years, I determined to create new
values to traditional crafts and thought about how to present
the result in the end.
Inspired by an application named Wood Joints ( 榫卯) made
by a Chinese design group - Tag UX, I developed lots of
interests in such a kind of traditional structure. I decided to
make a family of furniture with such a smart and outstanding
