Abstract (Swedish)
Totalt deltog 49 anhöriga i olika åldrar. (More)

(Less)
Abstract
About 30.000 persons get stroke every year, which can affect both their and their relatives’ everyday life. The aim was to investigate how the care giving realtives to those suffering from stroke rated their percieved occupational balance, and to identify dissimilarities due to demographic factors. The method was a quantitative cross-sectional study with descriptive analytical method. Data was collected through surveys consisting of the instrument Occuaptional Balance Questionnaire (OBQ) and demographic questions. There was 49 participants in different ages. The result showed a wide dispersion in total sum from 0 (lowest possible) to 33 (highest possible), and the median of 12. Dissimilarities in the ratings could be seen concerning the... (More)

Dissimilarities in the ratings could be seen concerning the factors age and time since the stroke. The conclusion is that relatives in general rate their occupational balance low, even if there are those who rate it high. The reasons for the dissimilarities are not obvious, but time and age could be of importance. (Less)
