The aim of this study was to contribute to the understanding of how the image of crime victims and offenders are described, and also how support persons are presented by Victim Support Sweden. The victim was described in relation to the offender and vice versa. The analysis strengthened the helper ideals that have emerged in the past, namely empathy, commitment and... (More)

The victim was described in relation to the offender and vice versa. The analysis strengthened the helper ideals that have emerged in the past, namely empathy, commitment and the ability to handle proximity and distance. It also showed that the practical strategies for assisting with support may vary, even though the ideals are more or less constant. (Less)
