- Abstract
- The economy today is linear, which means that all products that are produced have
an end of life. It is produced, used and recycled. In the future we are aiming for a circular economy where the products never become
waste but instead is reused and remodelled to fill a new purpose. EU has taken on the Directive 2008/98/EC on waste which contains a waste hierarcy. The waste hierarcy aims to prevent waste. This study aims to gain new knowledge as to how the recycling and reuse system should be constructed to be ideal for the consumers. To gain this knowledge a survey was shared via social media as well as personal interviews were
held. 72 people answered the survey online and eight people were interviewed. The

The answers show that there is a need to make the collection and availibility to leave no needed but functional house products (sofa, tables etc) easier. The conclusions were that the people who answered the web survey and were interviewed where quite happy with how the system is formed todaybut were positive to make the system even more use friendly.
