- Abstract
- This bachelor is a quantative content analysis that focuses on the description of Autism in daily newspapers in Sweden. I have analysed 58 newspaper articles where the word ”autism” is used and through a coding system chategorized these into different diagrams in order to analyse them. The research has been analysed through theories of socialconstructivism, user influence and discourses of power. The result shows that there is a big focus on what the individuals with autism can’t do in relation to what they should be able to do to fit in in societies norms and that the individuals rarely get the opportunity to speak for themselves.
