Abstract
The aim of this study was to examine how the interaction between the profession of a social worker and the logic of justice is functioning within the framework of probation service. The study contained hundred personal investigations that was given by three different courts and with a quantitative analysis the material was later studied, this was done by breaking down the document into different categorizations. With the help of a univariate and bivariate analysis the relation between the different categorizations was possible to study. With the help of a univariate and bivariate analysis the relation between the different categorizations was possible to study. Individuals without substance abuse, good mental health and a stable living situation were in much higher degree an object for community service. It also emerged that the supervising probation officer in some cases didn’t follow the template and it was the protective factors that in majority of the cases was picked out from the document.
