The method that has been used is textual analysis. We have constructed and designed ideal types of civic and ethnic nationalism based on characteristics prevalent in the theoretical literature. Furthermore, the ideal types will be used in order to analyze the Sweden Democrats’ official principle programme. By using this material, the study aims to shed light on how SD present themselves in an official context.
